The new Student Housing & Wellness Center at Central State University was designed to prepare all students of diverse backgrounds and experiences for leadership, research, and service by providing a nurturing environment that fosters academic excellence. Central State, about 30 miles east of Dayton, is Ohio’s only public, historically black college. As one of the top and most respected HBCUs in the nation, this Student Housing & Wellness Center represents the richness and heritage of the institution through unique architectural elements and design features.
Located adjacent to university’s athletic facilities, this site was perfectly suited for the proposed student housing and wellness development. It is accessible by most parts of campus, serving as an anchor and public face on the east side.
