Project Overview
UHS partnered with Franciscan University in 2025 to plan and deliver a landmark new residence hall on Lower Campus — a purpose-built facility designed to address seven consecutive years of record enrollment growth and provide a transformative living experience rooted in the University’s mission and community. The development features two dedicated residence hall wings — one men’s, one women’s — connected by a five-story Commons Connector programmed with student lounges, a café, chapel, study and conference rooms, multi-purpose event space, and a rooftop terrace. Rising 140 feet above Lower Campus, a signature bridge tower anchors the project as both a campus landmark and a functional link, connecting Lower Campus directly to the Upper Main Campus and unifying a growing residential district home to more than 500 students.
