In 2008, Tiffin University partnered with University Housing Solutions to transform an eight-acre former junkyard—previously designated as an environmental hazard by the EPA—into an engaging new student housing community. Working closely with environmental consultants, UHS successfully remediated the site, paving the way for a dynamic 220-bed living-learning complex located adjacent to the university’s proposed new athletic center.
The project was thoughtfully planned and executed in multiple phases. Phase I included full site development and the construction of the first two residence buildings. Each apartment-style unit features a full kitchen, spacious living and dining areas, two bathrooms, and five private bedrooms—designed to offer students a comfortable, independent living experience while fostering community engagement.
