Phase I Residence Hall

Following years of steady enrollment growth and the introduction of a football program, WWU recognized the urgent need to increase their on campus housing capacity to keep up with demand. UHS entered the picture in 2023 and began working on a phased solution for the school.

Phase I — Hillside Hall — includes a 200-bed residence hall and 1,500 SF quick-serve dining option to serve the students living in the new node of campus. The building consists of hybrid-style residential units with in-unit private bathrooms. The ground floor opens into a large patio overlooking the athletic fields, which is open to the public for gameday activities.
